just got my 10/22! what mods should i try?

hey folks, just picked up my first 10/22 and wow, it's a blast! i totally get the hype. shoots like a dream outta the box, but man, the customization options are wild.

trying to take it easy on upgrades, but wanna know what little tweaks y'all have done that really made a difference or just added to the fun.

what do you think i should tackle first?

Congrats on a great little plinker and varmint gun! I haven't owned a 10/22 for years than I can count so, no help on the upgrades. I kept the one I had stock.

The options are endless. Use your little Ruger. Then buy another and experiment with upgrades!!

Trigger upgrade is all I do. That is all mine ever needed.
If you're ammo dumping on tin cans, it probably doesn't matter, but if you want to wring the utmost accuracy from your rifle, a good trigger goes a long way.
Used to be, a $200+ Volquartsen was the ticket. And although it still, is, the Ruger BX1 trigger also is a huge improvement over most factory triggers, for less than a hundred bucks.

I've actually used Power Custom and Volquartsen parts in the past. Worked great for my applications.
