I had a busy day yesterday. I went to the range and shot my Smith and Wesson M&P15-22 silly. I shot about 500 rounds through it. So much so that it wouldn’t feed correctly a couple of times and it fails to lock back on the last round once or twice. I shot 200 or so rounds of aguila and 3 boxes of Mini Mags, after adjusting my sights.
I had to go to my mom’s afterward. That was another couple of hours and I fell asleep while reading sometimes after 7pm after I got home and ate dinner. I woke up at 1:30 a.m. and felt the urge to clean. I spent two and a half hours cleaning 8 guns from my two range trips this week.
I had forgotten to clean the 22LR rifle from my range trip a week or so ago. It was caked in filth. I had so much crud in the receiver and even had to clean the mag well.
I have three pistol barrels soaking in solvent overnight and will wipe them out tomorrow or later today.
So what do you all do when you can’t sleep in the middle of the night? It’s 4 a.m. now. I am gonna try to read myself to sleep again.
