I made it out to the range today. Was there from 10:30 until 3:45. In that time I sighted 3 AR’s and 3 revolvers. My most recent .357 Mag put at blister in my palm due to the checkering on the wood grip. I am glad I was able to go but I am so tired now. I had to take a lot of breaks out there.

Anyway, I used a 25 yard zero with the AR’s Iron Sights. Two of the revolvers were just shot to test ammo and see where they print. A Snub Nose ,38 and my wife’s Snub Nose Model 60LS. The trigger wouldn’t return forward sometimes. I am probably going to have to send it back to Smith and Wesson.

I sighted in My Taurus model 66 seven shot, six inch .357 magnum. I have it zeroed at 25 yards with Minute Man Cream of Whoopass .357 ammo. About 1/4 inch group off a rest with that stuff.

I have had both shoulders done now. Rotator cuffs and torn muscles in both. Have Medicare and a supplement. I never did sign up for the vets, always had insurance while working.
Well, if you served, you may be able to get medical, even if you didn’t retire from the service.

After having to have my foot/ankle redone twice (now it's triple fused) after they literally left me with a club foot. No thanks, I'm glad the VA is there for others, but until my Medicare doesn't work it's not for me.
For my surgeries the VA sends me to a private doc and just pays the bill. That’s the advantage of being so far from Roseburg and Portland. Our President made that happen in his first term.

The closest facility to me is White City. Have friends that have gone there and not pleased. I know now they have some type of a local service, but i am ok with what i have with Medicare. Thru heart attack, couple cancer surgeries, appendix removal, and some other stuff I am out $58. Not going to complain.

When I had my shoulder surgeries done, I was out about 150 bucks. They were done at Sacred Heart River Bend.

They smoothed the bone on the left and right and rerouted the tendon on the right. They said they could only do that once. Next time it’s joint replacement.

Got the brace off last week. Shoulder is sore but getting better. Finally, on Saturday, shot my Vickers Martini target .22, the Savage model NRA 1919 .22, and Smith model 17 with 8 1/8 inch barrel with Burris scope. I was unable to hold a rifle up with left arm, the heavy target rifle I used a shooting rest. All was fun, and a grandson shared the ammo with me.
