I went out to Emerald Empire Gun Club this morning. I pulled up just as they were opening the gate, at 10 a.m. I shot five new handguns today.

I shot my Ruger P90. Definitely not a match grade gun, but had a decent group at 21 feet with CorBon 185 gr 45 ACP +P. That gun was really soft shooting. The single action pull is great, but the double action wasn’t so great. It really stacks.

My Ruger P94 in 40 S&W was smooth in both DA and SA. I shot 165gr Win White Box and used up some old PMC Eldorado Starfire. About a 2 inch circle with the Eldorado.

My Ruger P95 was shot with 9mm 124gr Blazer brass. About a 2 inch circle with 15 rounds. Couple of flyers.

My S&W SW40V actually shot tighter groups than the Ruger 40 with 165 gr win White Box. The trigger pull is better than the P90. It doesn’t stack.

And finally, in the hand guns, I shot my SAR 9 for the first time. That was the tightest grouper of the day. One ragged hole about the size of a quarter after two 19 round mags and a 17 rounder. Just a few flyers from the group with the Blazer Brass 124gr.

After testing the new handguns, I just plinked with my S&W M&P 15-22 for about an hour.
