A Colt M-16/SP1 without forward assist when I was in basic training.

Remington pump .22 at 6 with my mother's help. It planted the seed that led me to here. Still have the gun.

That’s quite a first experience, jumping straight into an SP1 in basic training definitely sets the tone early

It’s funny but I made sharpshooter the first time I ever qualified. Missed expert by 1 or 2. Can’t remember now. The first time I shot a handgun was the same day and I missed expert by 2. S&W model 1k or pre model 10.
