How did you spend Halloween? 👻🎃

I hope everyone had a great Halloween. Did you hit the woods, stay home with family, or head out for some community fun? Let’s hear your Halloween stories (sporting-style )

I attended a get together with the local Ham radio club at a local pizza parlor where they host a Halloween party every year where parents can bring their children and the attending organizations give out candy,prizes etc.

Pretty popular in my area where it can be difficult for parents to take kids for a door to door scenario in a rural location.

That sounds like a great community event! It’s awesome when groups step up to make things fun and safe for kids, do they do it every year?

Yep!

I decorated the house and yard. I sat near the door with lots of candy. We had maybe 30 trick-or-treater's. We've had hundreds in the past.
It was so severely raining, I suspect the goblins stayed home, knowing their Mom's would just go and buy them some candy.

And I'm now diabetic. I can't eat the leftovers.

Some jack ass tried to break in my house on Halloween night. My dog scared him off. I opened the door and I could hear the would be burglar running down the street. If he would have still been on my porch I would have turned the dog loose on him. Pitt Bulls are great intimidation for bad guys.

The only thing that I had bought for Halloween were the rounds in the magazine of the pistol that I answered the door with…a fresh mag full of 124gr Gold Dot +P. We had no candy. Haven’t had a trick or treaters in over a decade.

Even with the rain, it sounds like you made Halloween special. Sorry about your diabetes, those leftover treats are tough to resist but your health comes first. Take care

Yup, since 1992 for me. And we have candy/snacks (anything chocolate or peanut butter filled pretzels) all year around.
