Which of your firearms are nostalgic to you?

I will talk about some of mine, but I want to hear from you first. Which of your firearms are nostalgia pieces?

Which ones remind you of someone or take you back to another place and time. Which ones remind do you possess that bring back pleasant memories?

And yes, feel free to post pics of them.

Probably the two most 'nostalgic' are the two guns I learned to shoot with!

They are my fathers' Mossberg Mod 152 .22 semi auto and his WW2 'Duffle bag' S & W US Navy marked 'Victory' .38 Special.

I shoot them both often, and they bring back memories of my father, when I was younger, and first learned to shoot!

Yes it's a spring loaded forward folding grip and was very 'unique' for the time.

Interestingly the Mossberg Mod 152 was probably THE most popular of the few semi auto .22s that were made in the 50s' and basically was the 'go to' until Ruger introduced the 10-22!

A funny story about the Mossberg.

It did NOT look like this originally as my dad (and don't ask me why) but when he first got it he sanded the finish off the stock and painted it WHITE! I believe he was probably fascinated with white stocked military Honor Guard rifles but I HATED it so he agreed to let me refinish it!

Well, I had a neighbor who was really good with woodwork and he helped me refinish it. It took a LOT of work and we had to use a stripper to remove the paint and get the wood back to original then we sprayed it with Varathane and gave it a light sanding and a final polish with Rottenstone.

Anyway it came out very good as it is very nice walnut and still looks good today!
