Hey folks,

With Thanksgiving here, I figured it’d be fun to see what everyone’s cooking up. What’s on your dish this year? traditional favorites or something totally different?

If you can, post a picture of your plate (or the whole spread!) and share any recipes you’re willing to pass along. It is always great to pick up new ideas and maybe steal a dish or two for next year.

I am looking forward to seeing what everyone’s serving :)

Sorry I missed this post. I made turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, gravy. We had rolls and cranberry sauce and Apple Pie.

I plan to do a Prime Rib for Christmas.

My mom was really happy to have a traditional dinner for Thanksgiving this year.

My holiday dinners have changed. I used to cook both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. And often we would have a houseful of people. And I always loved it.

Over the last few years, our daughter in law has taken over Thanksgiving dinner, and we go to their house to eat. She is a marvelous cook.. I didn't take pictures, but we had turkey, ham, brisket, taters and gravy, dressing, macaroni and cheese, the most delicious yams and vegetables, and a selection of pies and other deserts. And it was a houseful, as I love.

I will still cook Christmas dinner. I can't keep up with the DIL for selections, but we will still have a great meal. Ham, turkey roasts, taters, gravy, dressing, vegetables, and store bought pies. My boy always makes the macaroni and cheese and it is always a favorite. I can't keep up with all the selections any more, but I guarantee there will be lots of food and folks will be full. I expect our house will be full and I will be Blessed in happiness.
