The gun maintenance task you always put off

Mine is "deep cleaning my AR's bolt carrier group". I know I should do it more often, but disassembly, scrubbing all those tiny parts, getting carbon out of every crevice, it's tedious! I do it eventually, just not as often as I should. The gun runs fine enough that I keep procrastinating on the deep clean. I am not proud of it, just being honest.

Gleaning and lubing the actions on my revolvers/taking off the grips. They all have rubber grips and I should do it more often to combat rust.

My gun's the same way. I wipe it down now and then but I keep putting off a real deep clean until there's a rainy day.

To me, cleaning revolvers is the time consuming project.I have to get into a mind set. My bolt action rifles seems to be much easier.

BCG deep cleans are always a chore for me, too. That carbon gunk on the bolt tail just takes forever to scrub off. I usually put it off until the gun starts acting up, and then, of course, I feel bad about it.
