Range membership seemed like a good deal until I did the math

Paying monthly seems like a good deal at first. But when you do the math, it ends up costing around $600 a year! I only go maybe twice a month, so just paying each time I visit would be the cheaper way to go for me. Do you have a membership or do you just pay when you go?

Honestly, I kinda like the membership, knowing I can go anytime without worrying about daily fees is worth it.

I pay each time I go. With my life, a membership would be a waste most of the year. If I went every week, it would make sense, but going twice a month isn't worth it for me.

It's not just about me. I am pleased to pay to help support the range.
They have expenses too.

I have been a member of my club 1965-1976. Then 1997 to present. The break was to raise family. I have earned the status as Life Member. That is for giving a lot of time to supporting the club and shooting sports. In fact, I spend way more time supporting the club and range than I do actually shooting. So cost is well paid for for me in sweat.
