It's a beat up old Stevens from like the 60s. Not worth much but it means everything to me. Took it out this weekend and it still shoots great. Anyone else hunting with old family guns? There's something special about it.

I had my grandpas Savage 99. But it was so old and broken that we couldn’t repair it. We went to a gun show together, over 30 years ago, and traded it to a collector ad parts and came out with two new pistols. My grandpa would have been 100 last November.

The pistol that he got that day, a Beretta 21A, and the SW airweight revolver I got him for his 80th birthday now reside with my son.

My grandfather gave me his Winchester Model 12 when I was 14. It is 20 gauge full choke and he bought it in 1925.
I hunted with it for years, kept it clean and took care of it. Around 1990, I had it reblued and the stock refinished. 100 years old and it still looks new.
No pits, no rust. It is destined to go to the grandchildren someday. Probably is pretty valuable now but I would never sell it.
Been hunting with a 12 gauge 1100 mostly since 1985.

This is my Pre-64 Mod. 70 in .270 Win. My father bought it used in the late 60's. It was his gun, then he gave it to my brother. When my brother passed it became mine. This rifle kept the freezer full of venison. It literally fed the family. Every member of my immediate family harvested at least one deer with it. My hunting days are over, sad to say, but even if I just hold it in my hands, I can feel their presence. I'll sell my liver, both lungs and one of my kidneys before I'd get rid of it.

This looks incredible. Guns like that carry so much family history and memories, you can’t put a price on that.

That’s amazing. A century-old Winchester in such great shape is a real family treasure
