How often do you replace worn-out parts?

I usually try to keep a close eye on my rifles and pistols, once a part shows noticeable wear, I swap it out before it causes problems. Springs and recoil components tend to go first.

I replace parts as soon as I notice wear or performance drop

When they stop working, which hasn't actually happened except for the poorly designed Remington 597 I used to own. I have guns that have had thousands of rounds through them and have only gotten sweeter in function. Parts are meant to wear. I've never had a part break because it was too worn.
