Hey, quick heads-up everyone.. Give your guns a check for rust! The weather's changing and I just found some on one of mine that I hadn't used in a while. A little oil will do the trick. Take a look in your gun safes and bags, especially your hunting rifles.

I have a dehumidifier in my safe. Also, all of my guns in the safe are heavily oiled. I have to clean them before I use them. They all get recleaned and oiled at least four times a year.

The dehumidifier in my safe has pellets. You bake them in the oven to dry them out once they've turned color. 25 bucks from bass pro, and you can reuse it for years.

Laugh if you want but I use GUN SOCKS! And NOT the expensive ones made for this but my USED cotton socks sprayed with a little silicone. They keep the dust off which is a good draw of moisture.

I keep one in my safe all the time. I wipe metal with a little oil before storing and I check bolts every month
