Brought too much stuff, couldn't find anything

My bag was packed with everything I might possibly need and I spent more time digging through it than shooting. Less is more sometimes. What do you actually bring that you use every time?

I made my bag smaller by taking out anything I haven't used in three trips. Now it just has ammo, a staple gun, basic tools, hearing and eye protection, and water.

I've tried to pack what I need and I've tried packing everything on range trips. When I pack only what I need, I always either forget something or wish I brought more.

I've settled on bringing everything regardless of which firearm I'm taking to the range. I use a stacking modular toolbox set with wheels from Harbor Freight. Everything I might use for a range trip is in there . I love that set up because all I need to remember now is to pack ammo.

I tend to take my pistols in a five pistol case with slots for 3 mags for each. Rifle with a case that holds 4 to 8 mags. Range bag with tools, eyes and ears, and ammo. And for my 9mms, a small ammo can with 500 to 700 rounds. I always load my mags prior to the range. I also have a case that holds 50 double stack mags.
