Best range rule I've ever seen

And The next sign below it should say, 'No Tactical, larper or operator clothing is to be worn on the firing line'.
Well, I sometimes wear as Sig shooting vest. It’s not “tacticool”. But it’s more for a day out there with a shotgun. Lot;s of places for extra shells, etc. Light weight.

Not full of pockets for AR mags or anything. No armor. But it has places to keep extra safety glasses, pens, a couple of spare handgun mags. That kind of thing. There is even pocket for a shoulder insert, if I recall. It’s a useful vest, just not Tacticool.

And this is understandable.

With regard to 'tacticool' I have heard of people on ranges wearing, armor plates, dressing in full camo and basically 'playing Army' while on a public shooting range and this causing 'issues' with some members and guests.

I am not saying there should be a ''dress code' on ranges but if ya wanna play 'Army' take it to the woods or go enlist.

I wear the same gun vest everyday all day long that I wear to go shooting. I buy the gun vests from Bi-mart with twin holsters built in for my pair of LCP Max pistols. I think it probably looks more Elmer Fudd, than Tacticool.

Cool, now that I know I will check out BiMart as my Sig vest is getting a little tight….or I am just fatter than 20 years ago ha ha.

I can’t stand going to the range and seeing guys wearing plates. It says to me that there may be a reason that an RO or someone else may need to shoot them at some point.

You know, the guy that goes out there and fires his AK full auto and then proceeds to flag everyone.

That actually happened one day out at the range and the RSO approached him with his hand on his 1911.

Turns out the guy with the AK hadn’t cleaned it. It was packed with cosmoline.

He was confused and in his confusion he walked away from the firing line with a mag in the gun and it pointing at all of us.

Multiple people told him just how close he came to being shot that day. I took cover and a couple of others hit the deck.

He was trespassed from the range. The RO was ready to shoot him. You never know what friggin’ idiots are going to be at a public range.

Body armor? I know an indoor range where the RO and staff wear at least level 3 vests, probably for good reason although probably not much help when someone hands a rented fully automatic weapon to their 8 year old little girl.
