Building my go-bag has taught me a lot over the years, especially about gear. Light and multi-use stuff is the way to go...like a good knife, water filter, small first-aid kit, and decent shelter. I’m always making changes though...what's the one thing you always pack?

We bought a small 5x8 cargo trailer a few years ago for a project that never really materialized. So since we live where most people would 'bug out' to go, our need to leave is most likely going to be fire. We had a good dose of it last year with a GO NOW status that was fortunately wrong. So we are equipping it with camping gear with room for some irreplaceable stuff that can be quickly loaded. Then we can be hooked up and gone in an hour which is a really good use for the trailer.
