Just installed the EZ shoot 1800 lumen tactical flashlight with green laser in my son's AR-22WMR, so he's trying out near dark shooting with the light illuminating the target shooting rapidly from the hip. Not bad grouping if you ask me the first time he's fired from the hip like this, and 65 yards in near total darkness. The puffs of smoke show the rate of fire.

Steel torso at 50 yards is lit up by the laser

So you can have a pistol grip on rimfires in CA? I remember that weird grip you had to put on his centerfre. California sucks.
Yes! His 22WMR is a loophole gun. By definition a rimfire rifle cannot be classified as an Assault Rifle as long as it isn't a SBR, or magazine over 10 rounds. He absolutely loves the 22wmr, and says it's the most fun you can have fully dressed. IDK about that, but it IS pretty fun.

You can have a pistol grip on center-fire, BUT you can't have one AND a detachable magazine. To have a detachable magazine you have to build featureless as in no pistol grip, flash hider, grenade launcher, or collapsible stock. Most go with one of the fixed magazine solutions, but I'm always one to buck a trend (or do things the hard way). To my way of looking at things the only thing worse than being limited to 10 rounds, is a 15 second magazine change that requires taking the weapon off target.

Noice!
