Like the title says, tell us about your latest acquisitions and share photos of them if you got some. I'll start with this Vortex Defender ST that just arrived today to go on my soon to be here, Springfield Echelon 4.0C.
I have slowed down. My latest purchase, a couple months ago, was a Wiley Clapp GP100 in 10mm.
There's more I might buy, but the stuff I am interested in is seldom found in a gun store. Two examples are the Ruger American Gen 2 Scout .308, and the Henry Small Game Carbine .22LR. The American Scout, a dealer exclusive, was available only on GunBroker and was nearly immediately sold out. The Henry, I am really squeamish about buying sight-unseen, online, as there are just too many reports that the front sight height is incorrect for the very nice Skinner peep sight. The results are a point of impact being 2-feet higher than point of aim. That's totally unacceptable and I am surprised Henry doesn't take this seriously enough to install the correct front sight. I'm just tired of having to fix stuff that should have been correct to start with.
I tried real hard to buy a Ruger SFAR, and even won an auction bid on one at a fundraiser. It remained unavailable before measure 114 kicked in again, and I just didn't want to deal with it. I cancelled my bid. It never did become available anyway. An auction for a rifle that was never available.
My latest purchase was a Cabela's cleaning kit from Bass Pro. They are in stock again for $99 dollars. I got it for $89.00 shipped. Sorry I don't h\ave a pic of mine, and Bass Pro's website is down at the moment.
Came across this Primary Arms Pac2.5x32 prism scope for a decent price. Bought it and put it on Anderson upper for a range rifle I'm assembling. These are no longer made and personally I like them. Had a couple years ago and while they are a bit heavy for some, it doesn't bother me for my use. I optied for this instead of a Vortex I was looking at.
Got a decent buttstock for the assembly I'm doing. Ti-7 with a good cheek weld on top. It also has two waterproof compartments that will hold batteries or small allen/hex tools or, whatever one's imagination come up with for their size. I didn't mind that it was OD green as I'm planning on rattle canning the firearm once it is all put together anyway.
