It’s Movie Night

My wife usually sleeps during the day. 20 years of working nights will do that to you. Well, now she is turning her nights around and she was up today. So I made us hamburgers for dinner and we watched Lethal Weapon 2, the director’s cut. It’s dated, but so funny. The guy that played Argent Rudd, and the woman that played the Psychologist are dead now. I think the guy that looked like Hitler with red hair is gone too.

Hard to believe that movie came out more than 35 years ago.

If you are a fan of fantasy Sci Fi one of the best is the 1961 move Mysterious Island which is the sequel to 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

The stop-motion animation and special effects for the movie were created by legendary special effects artist Ray Harryhausen and the soundtrack for the movie by Bernard Herrmann has been considered one of the BEST in history and part of it was used in the Star Trek movie 'The Wrath of Khan'.

It was also instrumental in 'spawning' the concept 'of 'Retrofuturism' into modern Sci Fi movies.

Well, my wife went to bed. So, I watched Bridge on the River Kwai by myself. I will check your recommendation out. I should probably watch 20,000 leagues again as I haven’t seen it since I was a kid.
