Does your partner get the gun thing or no?

Mine has stopped asking how much stuff costs. She just sighs now and says "I probably don't want to know, right?" I think she's accepted this is just who I am at this point. How does your partner handle the gun hobby?

It's not a hobby. And certainly not hunting or recreation as top priority. She's an Army vet, combat disabled. No, we're not worried about zombies either - but we are ready if they come. Our primary use is predators to the livestock.

My wife sees it as being ready and learning skills, not just a hobby. Training and being safe made sense to her more than just getting more guns and once she understood that, she stopped complaining so much
