I want to pick up a .22 for trigger time without spending a fortune on ammo and Ruger Mark IV or Browning Buck Mark seem like the go-to options, but I'm open to suggestions. I mainly just want something reliable that won't jam every magazine

Ruger Mark IV and Browning Buck Mark are excellent choices for cheap practice and plinking. I’d also consider the Smith and Wesson M&P22 or Walther P22

Yeah I agree with @Rajish, forget the others and stick to the Ruger Mark IV or Browning Buck Mark. They are reliable workhorses, just buy quality CCI Mini-Mags for no jams, then try cheaper bulk ammo.

Of course any of the Ruger's, Standard or Target thru MkIV belong in everybody's battery. But I have an addition that normally would pass by me unnoticed... The Taurus TX22. Not a normal Taurus, as it's made for Taurus somewhere in the US. My little TX22 functions flawlessly, shoots much more accurately than it has a right to, and it's roughly half the price of the above Ruger's.

I have thought of getting a TX 22 @WAYNO . But I have other firearms that are taking priority right now. I am thinking about getting a Glock 19, an AR, and AK Draco and a 10/22.

I have a BuckMark
